We are proud to announce that The Generous Home, has officially been sold. All proceeds from the sale of the home will go through The Veridian Foundation, resulting in over $400,000 in donations to nine local nonprofit organizations.
Since its inception in 2004, The Veridian Foundation has contributed well over $2 million to charitable causes across southern Wisconsin. The Generous Home program, relaunched in 2024 as part of the Madison Area Parade of Homes, represents the Foundation’s latest commitment to building “homes into hope,” by donating 100% of the proceeds from the home’s sale to organizations working for the betterment of our community.

The Generous Home, known as The Collins floor plan, is located in Waunakee and spans more than 5,000 square feet. With four bedrooms and six baths, the home was designed to combine elegance with everyday comfort. It features a first-floor primary suite complete with a soaking tub and spacious walk-in closet, as well as a walk-in pantry and butler’s pantry just off the dining space. The thoughtful design features separate mudroom and laundry areas off the garage, nine-foot ceilings on the main floor, and upstairs bedrooms each with their own bathroom, walk-in closet, and access to a flexible loft space.
Custom Auburn Ridge cabinetry, SmartHome+ technology, and elegant finishes throughout the home add a touch of refinement. Built to high-performance standards, the home is also Energy Expert certified, ensuring efficiency and long-lasting value.

More than 40 local businesses have contributed to the construction of The Generous Home. A few of those businesses include Auburn Ridge, Dave Jones, Inc., Floor360, First Choice Drywall, Inc., Hottmann Construction, LYCON, Inc., Pharo Heating and Cooling, Spahn Excavating, B&B Laminates, Inc., The Bruce Company, Madison Lighting, TS Masonry, Inc., Electric 1, Inc., Zander Solutions, and City Wide Insulation of Madison, Inc. A complete list of all contributing trades can be found on www.TheGenerousHome.com.
The proceeds from the sale of The Generous Home will directly support nine nonprofit organizations. These include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County, Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services), Hunger Task Force, Porchlight, Reach Dane, the Waunakee Food Pantry, and the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection. Each of these organizations play a vital role in strengthening our community, and The Veridian Foundation is proud to support their work.

To celebrate the sale of The Generous Home and the impact it will make, Veridian Homes hosted a check presentation on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Veridian Homes Design Studio. Representatives from both The Veridian Foundation and the benefiting nonprofits gathered to commemorate the occasion and highlight the importance of community collaboration.
“We are deeply grateful to our team, trade partners, and the community for making The Generous Home a reality, not just as a beautiful home, but as a vehicle for generosity and impact,” said Chris Ehlers, President at Veridian Homes.
“Knowing that these funds will support local nonprofits making a tangible difference—whether for youth, families, or those in crisis—is exactly what The Veridian Foundation and The Generous Home is all about,” said Matt Cudney, Vice President, Operations – Milwaukee and Chair of The Veridian Foundation.
